L'Inde a redémarré, ce vendredi 26 novembre, les exportations de vaccins anti-Covid, qui étaient bloquées depuis plusieurs mois pour approvisionner le marché interne.
Le Serum Institute of India (SII) a repris ses envois pour la première fois depuis avril 2021, en faveur uniquement du réseau mondial de partage de vaccins Covax, pour l'heure.
"Je suis heureux d'annoncer que les fournitures très attendues de Covax reprendront aujourd'hui à partir du Serum Institute of India. Cela contribuera grandement à rétablir l'égalité de l'approvisionnement en vaccins dans le monde, et en particulier dans les pays à revenu faible et intermédiaire", a écrit Adar Poonawalla sur Twitter.
